Miriam College scraps classes after fire hits Shoppersville in QC
Miriam College in Quezon City suspended its classes for lower and middle school students on Thursday following a fire in the Shoppersville Supermarket branch in Katipunan Avenue, Loyola Heights.
After the fire was declared under control at 9:51 a.m., Miriam College announced the dismissal of classes in the afternoon “to ensure safety.”
According to the advisory, wind directions from Shoppersville Supermarket caused smoke to enter areas near the lower and middle schools.
