The Sandiganbayan First Division has approved the motion of outgoing Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. to seek a three-day furlough this month so that he can undergo implant surgery and other dental procedures.
In a minute resolution dated July 7, the First Division allowed Revilla to leave his detention cell at Camp Crame in Quezon City on July 13 for the first stage implant surgery, July 16 for the post-op check-up, and July 23 for the suture removal and stayplate denture reline.

All the said procedures will start at 2 p.m.
He will be brought to the Gan Osseointegration Center (GAOC) located at The Residences, Greenbelt Center in Makati City for his dental procedures.
In the resolution, the First Division directed Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director Ronald Dela Rosa to provide adequate personal escorts to accompany Revilla.

He is also barred from using any means of communication and electronic gadgets while outside his detention cell.
Revilla, a former movie actor, is also not allowed to be interviewed by the media. His camp should also pay for all the expenses that will be incurred while he is outside his cell.
The former senator surrendered last June 2014 when charges were filed against him over allegations that he earned P224.5 million in kickbacks in his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) projects with accused pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles.
He was also allowed to leave his detention cell for five days in October last year to undergo dental procedures also at the GAOC. RAM
