CLARK FREEPORT—Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air and Zest Air diverted their planes to the Clark International Airport (CRK) here on Friday as Typhoon “Butchoy” (International name: “Nepartak”) lashed Metro Manila.
As of 10 a.m., the three airlines sent seven aircraft to CRK as domestic and international flights to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport were suspended due to bad weather.
PAL flight 321 from Davao, PAL Airbus 340 from San Francisco in California, Cebu Pacific flight 319 from Cebu are among those that took refuge in CRK.
Ding Aranas, CRK terminal manager, said all passengers of the diverted planes were safe.
CRK can accommodate 20 aircraft at any one time, according to lawyer Emigdio Tanjuatco III, president of the Clark International Airport Corp.
