Fire hits BPI branch in Greenbelt
Fire broke out in a bank in Greenbelt Cinema in Makati City on Monday.
The blaze started at 9:11 a.m. at the Bank of the Philippine Islands.
Responders were reportedly having a hard time getting into the branch because of thick smoke, reports said.

A report from Makati Traffic’s Twitter account said the fire had reached first alarm as of 9:28 a.m.

The fire was put out at 3:21 p.m.
Senior Fire Officer 1 Reynaldo Gonzalez said by phone that the fire started at the ground floor near the vault.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, he said.
