Dagupan City motorcycle rider dies in collision with car

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan — A still unidentified man died on Wednesday when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by a car at the national highway here.

A BMW sedan, driven by Angel Quiming, 45, a bank employee, hit the motorcycle as it turned left towards an interior road in Barangay Caranglaan at about 11 p.m., said Supt. Christopher Abrahano, police chief.

The motorcycle rider was thrown off and died before reaching a hospital here.

Quiming said he could not avoid the motorcycle as it swerved towards his lane without its headlights switched on.

Abrahano said charges have been readied against Quiming.  SFM/rga
