2 LPAs off Surigao to bring rains over PH—Pagasa
The state weather bureau on Saturday morning said it is tracking two Lower Pressure Areas (LPA) off the Surigao provinces.
In its 11:00 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA over the East Philippine Sea was estimated at 850 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
Another LPA was plotted at 160 kilometers southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
Pagasa said the two LPAs embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone were expected to bring light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Saturday onwards. YG/CDG
