3 alleged drug dealers killed, 2 others hurt in Nueva Ecija
CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines—Three suspected drugs peddlers in Nueva Ecija were killed while two others were injured by unidentified gunmen in two separate cases of violence.
Robles Acosta, 36, was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in an irrigation canal in Guimba town last Wednesday. Acosta, a farm caretaker, was implicated in the local drug trade, police said, quoting one of the victim’s relatives.
On the same day in Aliaga town, three brothers were ambushed by gunmen waiting in a car as they drove through Barangay (village) San Juan, after attending a hearing at the Regional Trial Court Branch 25 in Cabanatuan City.
The gunmen shot and killed Armando Villaviza and wounded his brothers Vergel and Arnold, with the latter in critical condition. The three brothers were implicated in a drug peddling case, police said.
At 11:38 p.m. on Wednesday in Quezon town, Michael Angelo Roque, 31, was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-riding men as he walked through a local village road. Roque was also listed as a person of interest in connection with the local drug trade. RAM/rga
