Man gagged, riddled with bullets found in Zambales

OLONGAPO CITY, Philippines—An unidentified man was found gagged and riddled with bullets on Thursday along a road in Zambales’ San Antonio town, police said.

PO3 Joseph Baldo, investigator at the San Antonio police office, said the body of the victim was discovered by a garbage collector around 5:15 a.m. in Barangay (village) Angeles.

The victim was blindfolded and gagged with a piece of cloth. His hands were tied behind his back, Baldo said.

Police investigators said the man sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the chest and in the back of his head.

Recovered near the body were two empty shells from a .9 mm-cal. pistol, Baldo said.

Police described the man to be in his 40s, medium built and fair-skinned. The man’s left arm sported a tattoo, Baldo said. RAM/rga
