Suspected drug dealer killed by police in Bulacan firefight

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan—A suspected drug dealer was killed by the police in a gunbattle at his house in Meycauayan City on Friday.

Rodelio dela Cruz, alias “Kulot,” died from the commotion he allegedly initiated when he fired at the policemen during a buy-bust operation in Camia Street at 2:40 a.m., said Supt. Lailene Amparo, acting Meycauayan police chief.

Police seized 38 sachets of suspected “shabu” (metamphetamine hydrochloride) and a .38-cal. revolver from the crime scene./rga
