Pangasinan farmer kills wife by accident

DAGUPAN CITY– A farmer accidentally shot and killed his wife on Wednesday (June 22) in Umingan town in Pangasinan province, police said on Thursday.

Zorayda Gamboa, 42, died from a gunshot wound in the neck, when her 47-year-old husband Freddie Gamboa accidentally triggered a 9-mm pistol he was showing off to a friend at his home in Barangay Carayungan Sur, said Chief Insp. Jose Abaya II, Umingan police chief.

Freddie was having a drink with a friend when he accidentally fired off his gun at 4:45 p.m.

Abaya said Freddie Gamboa surrendered to the police and has been put in detention.  SFM
