Gov’t security agent gunned down in Masbate

LEGAZPI CITY–A security agent at the Masbate provincial government was shot and killed by unidentified men in Uson town in Masbate on Tuesday afternoon, reports reaching the Bicol regional police office here said on Wednesday.

Roger Gelotin Sr., also known as Rodney Gelotin, 44, who was assigned at the office of the governor, died instantly after he was attacked by the gunmen in Barangay (village) Libertad in Uson at 5:10 p.m, said Senior Insp. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.

A team of policemen has started pursuing the gunmen, who fled on foot after the attack, Calubaquib said.
