3 killed, 48 nabbed in Bulacan anti-drug operations

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan–Bulacan police killed three suspected drug pushers in San Miguel town and arrested 48 other suspects in simultaneous operations conducted in various towns on Thursday (June 9).

Albert Roy Santos and Reniel Santos died after fighting the policemen who were serving search warrants at 8:20 p.m. in Barangay Tigpalas, while Alvin Ramos Gonzales died from gunshot wounds in a separate encounter in the same town at 12:40 p.m., said Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., Bulacan police director.

The police dragnet seized 170 pieces of heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu (metamphetamine hydrochloride), six firearms, and four motorcycles which bore no documentation. CDG/rga
