More possible appointees to Duterte Cabinet arrive at guesthouse
DAVAO CITY, Philippines— More prospective appointees to the Cabinet of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte and those named in sensitive government posts have arrived at the Presidential Guesthouse inside the compound of the Department of Public Work’s and Highways (DPWH) in Barangay Panacan here, where Duterte will hold his first Cabinet meeting.

Former AFP Chief of Staff Hermogenes Esperon, earlier named National Security adviser; Col. Rolando Bautista, chief of the Presidential Security Group; Las Piñas Rep. Mark Villar named Secretary of Public Works and Highways; lawyer Arthur Tugade, the incoming transportation secretary, were among the first to arrive.
Former Peace Adviser Jesus Dureza and incoming Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello; former Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas chair recently named to the Department of Agrarian Reform Rafael Mariano; Liza Maza for the Department of Social Welfare and Development; UP Prof. Judy Taguiwalo for the Commission on Higher Education; and Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco have also arrived and joined others in waiting for the arrival of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte.
Dir. Catalino Cuy, the former Davao City police chief who later became the chief of the Special Action Force before the Mamasapano debacle; and former police Chief Supt. Jaime Morente were also seen.
