Cashier killed during robbery in Bulacan

BULACAN, Philippines—A 39-year-old memorial park cashier was shot dead during a robbery at a cemetery in Barangay Calumpang in Calumpit town here on Monday (May 30).

Emma Rodriguez, who also serves as councilwoman of Balungao village, was killed by two men who barged into the office of the Himlayang Lahing Kayumanggi Memorial Cemetery at 10 a.m.

Rodriguez was receiving a P15,000 payment from a client when she was shot in the head.

The armed men grabbed the cash money and drove away in an unregistered motorcycle.

Police recovered a spent shell fired from a .45-caliber pistol from the crime scene. TVJ/rga
