Leni sees good working relationship with Rody
DESPITE having different political colors and stand on various issues, incoming Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo on Monday said she was “very hopeful” of a good working relationship with incoming President Rodrigo Duterte.
Very hopeful ako na magiging maganda naman ‘yung aming working relationship,” Robredo said in a press conference after her proclamation at the House of Representatives.
Robredo, a Liberal Party member, vowed to give her “100 percent” support for Duterte despite their contradicting views on public issues, such as death penalty and federalism.
The widow of the Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo said she was “open” and “willing to listen” to Duterte’s proposed policies.

Duterte and Robredo were proclaimed duly elected President and Vice President on Monday by the Congress, only three days after last week’s canvassing. They will take their oath on June 30.
