Presumptive President-elect Rodrigo Duterte said early Thursday morning that he will implement a massive government revamp the moment he assumes office at noontime of June 30.

A fuming Duterte told reporters that the agencies to be affected by the shake-up will include the Philippine National Police (PNP), the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).

“There will be a massive reshuffle so I am putting a notice now to everybody. Lahat kayong mga taga-Muntinlupa (All of you from Muntinlupa), you ship out. Be ready. Magbalot na kayo (Pack up),” Duterte said in a press conference which rambled for more than two hours.

The tough-talking mayor said that the shake-up will not spare anyone as it will include ranking officers.

“When I reshuffle, I don’t reshuffle officers. Lahat, pati janitors (It includes everyone, even janitors),” he said.

Duterte said that he will consult incoming PNP chief Chief Supt. Ronaldo “Bato” dela Rosa in implementing the reshuffle.

“There will be a massive movement. Hindi lang one or two officers pati mga generals (Not just one or two officers, but generals as well). Reshuffle din. I am just being a messenger. I am not threatening you but I will do it,” he said.

The only institution that seems to be out of the chopping block for now in Duterte’s view is the military.

“The Army so far is doing fairly good. I am satisfied [na] walang masyadong hostilities ngayon (that there are not much hostilities now),” the incoming President said.
