Lucky factory worker can now pop the question
THE RIGHT time has apparently come for this factory worker and Sto. Niño devotee from Cavite province who has been hesitating about proposing marriage to his longtime girlfriend due to financial worries.
The 35-year-old bachelor shared his love story on Thursday when he claimed half of the P15.79-million jackpot in the May 13 Mega Lotto 6/45 draw.
Conrado Zabella, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) assistant general manager for gaming, said the winner was one of two players who picked the combination 25-05-18-10-29-04.
The factory worker took home P7,898,408, while his fellow winner—who bought the ticket in Quezon City—has yet to claim the other half of the prize, Zabella said.
According to the PCSO official, the instant millionaire has been playing lotto for only over a year and finally hit the jackpot with numbers that he associates with the Infant Jesus as well as birthdates in his family.
Claiming his winnings at the PCSO headquarters in Mandaluyong City, he also spoke of plans to resign from work, start his own business, and finally take his girlfriend to the altar, Zabella added. Jovic Yee
