Duterte team flies to Manila to meet with Malacañang officials

DAVAO CITY –A team from presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte’s camp flew to Manila for a briefing with Malacañang officials on presidential protocols.

“A four-person team from the Davao City Mayor’s Office is now on its way to Malacanañg for an initial ocular inspection and briefing from the Palace Protocol Office,” Peter Laviña, spokesperson of Duterte’s media group, said.

Laviña, however, would not disclose the composition of the team sent to Malacañang.

Duterte will be starting his work as President on June 30, the day of his proclamation. CDG/rga
