LONG BEACH, California — The parents of a Southern California woman killed in the November terror attacks in Paris have accepted the diploma she never lived to receive.

The Long Beach Press-Telegram (https://bit.ly/20cNbQe ) says the mother and father of Nohemi (no-EH’-mee) Gonzalez accepted her bachelor’s degree Thursday at California State University, Long Beach.

The industrial design major also received the Outstanding Graduate Award.

Gonzalez, a 23-year-old El Monte resident, was in Paris on a study program when terrorists killed 130 people in attacks on a cafe, stadium and concert hall.

Her mother, Beatriz Gonzalez, says Nohemi will always be in her heart.

The school’s design department is raising money to renovate a workshop, to be named in her honor.
