The political group of presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte, the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), is set to forge an alliance with the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) on Friday.

An e-mail advisory from the office of Sen. Aqulino “Koko” Pimentel III said the two political groups will sign a “Coalition for Change” agreement at 10:00 a.m. in Makati City.

Duterte and Pimentel are chairman and president of PDP-Laban, respectively.

The NPC, on the other hand, is headed by businessman Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco Jr. Cojuangco’s party had endorsed the presidential candidacy of Duterte’s rival, Sen. Grace Poe, during the last elections.
