The Iglesia Ni Cristo on Tuesday asked for public understanding after its medical and dental mission caused heavy traffic on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.

Motorists on Tuesday experienced heavy traffic on Commonwealth Avenue between Sandiganbayan and Litex road because some portions were closed due to the Iglesia event.

Zabala said the Iglesia is conducting an outreach program called “Lingap sa Mamamayan.”  Loosely translated it means Compassionate Care for the People.

He said the venue was chosen because it was near the residents for whom the services are intended to.
