Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo, who is leading the race for the vice presidency, has gotten the most number of votes in 10 regions, while her closest rival, Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., is winning in seven regions and in the overseas absentee voting, according to the poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).
The situation, the PPCRV said on Saturday, was based on results transmitted by nearly 96 percent of the polling precincts.
Also on Saturday, the PPCRV released the hourly number of votes that came in for Robredo and Marcos from 5 p.m. on Monday, when the polls closed, to 2 p.m. on Friday.
The data included the number of votes coming from each region per hour, to help people understand the ebb and flow of the tallies for the tight race for the vice presidency, according to Ana de Villa Singson, PPCRV media and communications director.
Marcos initially led the race for the vice presidency in the first few hours after the balloting on Monday, but Robredo overtook him early Tuesday, and she has kept the lead since.
In the first several hours after the polls closed, Marcos led the race, but Robredo overtook him by 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Marcos got the bigger number of votes from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., shortly after the polls closed. The high number of votes for him during these hours paved the way for him to rank first in the tally up to 2 a.m. Tuesday.

But from 8 p.m. Monday to 3 a.m. Tuesday, Robredo got the higher number of votes for every hour, and eventually overtook Marcos.

By 3 a.m. Tuesday, she was leading Marcos with 12,938,123 votes. Marcos had 12,923,247 votes at that time.
Singson said the PPCRV decided to release the details on the source of the votes for the candidates because there were a lot of questions about the results, especially about the votes for Vice President.

The race for the vice presidency remains tight, with Robredo leading by more than 216,000 votes as of 6:45 p.m. on Saturday.
Robredo had 14,016,126 votes, while Marcos had 13,799,835 votes with 96.07 percent of precincts transmitting.

Based on the PPCRV data, Robredo leads the vote count in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, and on Negros Island, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bicol, Western and Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao and Caraga regions.
Marcos, on the other hand, was leading in the overseas absentee voting as well as in Metro Manila, Cordillera Autonomous Region and the Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Eastern Visayas and Soccsksargen regions. TVJ
