Robredo holds steady lead in VP race
Camarines Sur Rep. Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo on Friday maintained a 200,000-vote lead over Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbomg” Marcos Jr. in the tight vice presidential race.
Unofficial data from the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) showed that as of 10:45 a.m., Robredo had 14, 001, 595 votes or 35.13 percent while Marcos got 13, 778, 361 votes or 34.57 percent. With 90, 417 or 95.91 percent of precincts counted, Robredo’s lead was at 223, 234.

Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, running mate of presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte, came in third with 5, 665, 756 votes or 14.22 percent. He was followed by Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero with 4, 807, 938 votes or 12.06 percent. Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV had 842, 951 votes or 2.1 percent and Gringo Honasan with 758, 99 votes or 1.9 percent.
In the presidential race, presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte has 15, 922, 773 votes or 38.55 percent. CDG/rga
