The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Wednesday appealed to the media to give it time to look into the accusations of Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s camp that its transparency server has been tampered.
“Can you give us time to study that first?” Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez told media during an ambush interview.
An hour before canvassing was adjourned by Comelec, Marcos’ camp released a statement claiming that a “new script or computer command was introduced to the transparency server.” They claimed that the new command altered the data, resulting in the rise of votes for Camarines Sur Representative Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo.

“We’re trying to get information about their claims also. We’ll see,” Jimenez said.
He pointed out that they have not seen the actual claim and have only heard news of it.
Marcos, who was initially leading in the unofficial count of the Comelec Transparency Server, has been complaining after the partial count showed a slow but steady rise in votes for Robredo, several hours after precincts closed on Wednesday.
He called for a halt in the unofficial count, however, the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) disagreed. RAM
