Former CA Justice Dela Rama passes away
BOCAUE, Bulacan – Retired Court of Appeals Justice Jose Dela Rama, who penned the 1995 ruling dismissing the libel case filed against the late journalist Louie Beltran, passed away on Monday (May 9) at his house in Barangay Taal. He was 89.
Dela Rama was the first Dean of the Bulacan State University (BulSU) College of Law. He retired from the CA in 1996.
Dela Rama started his career by serving with the Department of Justice before he was appointed a regional trial court (RTC) judge in Angeles City in 1983.
His body lies in state at the Mary the Queens Gardens at Bypass Road, Guyong, Sta Maria, Bulacan. Interment is scheduled on May 15. CDG/rga
