DIGOS CITY – Jailed former Davao del Sur governor Douglas Cagas is now leading in the gubernatorial race against former vice governor Arsenio Latasa.
As of 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Cagas has posted a count of 130,226 votes against Latasa’s 112,089.
The figures came from 1,818 canvassed election returns out of 1,880.
Cagas was jailed for the murder of journalist Nestor Bedolido. He has consistently denied any role in the crime. SFM/rga
