Escudero couple finally gets honeymoon

SORSOGON – With the 2016 elections over and done with, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero and wife Heart Evangelista can finally have their long delayed honeymoon.

“Siguro yung matagal nang naudlot na honeymoon ay matutuloy na (Perhaps the long overdue honeymoon will finally happen),” he said.

Married in February last year, the honeymoon had to wait as Escudero pursued the vice presidency.

But after the initial canvassing saw him place fourth behind Leni Robredo, Bongbong Marcos and Alan Peter Cayetano, he finally conceded the race on Tuesday.

“I’m looking forward to quieter times at mas maraming time sa pamilya (and more time with the family),” he said.

Evangelista also expressed her excitement.

“I’m pretty happy because we have so much to do,” she said. “We just got married, magha-honeymoon pa kami finally, and magbe-baby pa kami (we’ll still get to have our honeymoon, finally, and we still want to have a baby). There’s so much to do so ok lang ako (I’m okay [with the results]).”

She added, “Sabi ko nga sa kanya (I told him), whatever happens, I’ll be equally happy.” CDG/rga
