NAGA CITY—Leni Robredo has hit back at cheating allegations rival Sen. Bongbong Marcos has thrown at here.

In a statement Monday, the vice presidential aspirant from Naga said there’s a chance majority of Filipinos do not want another Marcos in the two highest positions in the land.

“Let’s all be reminded that it is not impossible that the majority of our people don’t want an unrepentant Marcos back,” Robredo said.

Marcos said Monday after he cast his vote that he has been a victim of cheating in past elections and implied he could receive the same treatment in his vice presidential bid.

“I’m very confident that we will win the elections. Of course, I’ve already been a victim of winning the elections and losing the counting,” Marcos told reporters at his campaign headquarters in Mandaluyong.

His new statements came after he alleged the Liberal Party, Robredo’s party, of having “Plan B” since it has given up on its presidential candidate Manuel “Mar” Roxas II.

Marcos said the Liberal Party would force the results to award Robredo the VP post if Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte wins the presidency.

Robredo, though, hit back and told Marcos to stop his accusations.

“Huwag nating pangunahan ang pagbibilang ng mga boto sa pag-akusa na madadaya kayo, Senator Marcos,” Robredo said. “Let’s not condition the minds of our people with false accusations and respect the process of our institutions.”
