Archbishop calls for nationwide candle-lighting, prayer rites
Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop and Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) president Socrates Villegas has urged Filipino voters to join a nationwide candle lighting ceremony on Saturday in preparation for the national elections.
The invitation, which first appeared on the Lingayen Dagupan’s Facebook page on Thursday, urged voters to light a candle and pray the Rosary just outside their homes.
