Duterte maintains lead in latest Pulse Asia poll; Robredo surges

DAVAO CITY Mayor Rodrigo Duterte continues to lead in the latest Pulse Asia pre-election survey conducted from April 26 to 29 while Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas and Senator Grace Poe find themselves statistically tied at the second spot.

The result of the latest ABS-CBN sponsored poll reported late Tuesday night showed Duterte maintaining a rating of 33 percent, putting him ahead of Roxas who garnered 22 percent and Poe who got 21 percent.

Roxas’ latest rating was an increase of two percentage points from his previous Pulse survey to remain statistically tied with Poe, who was down one point from her previous rating.

The survey has a sample of 4,000 registered voters with a margin of error of ±1.5%.

Vice President Jejomar Binay stayed at fourth place with a 17 percent rating, one point lower from the previous survey. Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago got 2 percent.

In the vice presidential survey, Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo and Senator Bongbong Marcos shared the top spot.

Robredo who garnered 30 percent has two percentage points lead over Marcos (28 percent) in the survey, but they were statistically tied.

Trailing Robredo and Marcos were Senators Francis Escudero (18 percent) and Alan Peter Cayetano (15 percent).

Senators Antonio Trillanes has 3 percent and Gringo Honasan, 2 percent.

Pulse Asia said five percent of voters remain undecided.
