DAVAO City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and administration bet Manuel “Mar” Roxas II were picked by INQUIRER.net readers as the winners of the third presidential debate held at the Phinma University of Pangasinan in Dagupan City on Sunday.
Duterte was chosen by INQUIRER.net Facebook users as the victor of the debate while on the poll hosted at the INQUIRER.net’s website, Roxas emerged as the winner.
The tough-talking mayor, who has answered questions on his controversial rape remarks during the debate, garnered 61 percent at the Facebook poll.
Following Duterte is Roxas with a distant 20 percent, Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago with 13 percent, Senator Grace Poe with 4 percent and Vice President Jejomar Binay with 2 percent of the votes.
Meanwhile, in the INQUIRER.net website, the former Interior secretary got 7,860 votes, representing the 55.97 percent of the total votes. He is followed by Duterte with 3,780 votes or 26.92 percent, Senator Grace Poe with 1,762 votes or 12.55 percent, Defensor-Santiago with 430 votes or 3.06 percent and Binay with 211 votes or 1.5 percent of the votes.
The INQUIRER.net website poll garnered a total of 14,043 votes while the Facebook poll got 88, 155 votes.
The three-hour poll tackled various issues such as worsening traffic situation in Metro Manila, education, peace process in Mindanao, and concerns of the overseas Filipino workers.
The debate was organized by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and hosted by ABS-CBN and Manila Bulletin.
