Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte vowed to end contractualization in the Philippines once he gets elected into office.
“The moment I assume office, I will order contractualization to stop,” Duterte said on Sunday during the third and final Commission on Elections (Comelec)-sanctioned presidential debate at the Phinma-University of Pangasinan in Dagupan City.

The tough-talking mayor said he would immediately order Congress to enact laws to end contractualization in the Philippines.
He said young professionals could not learn the necessary skills because of contractualization and usually could not work overseas because they lack the experience.
“The young people cannot acquire the experience,” he said.
He said job mismatch is also present because of contractualization.
“That is an injustice committed to the people of the Philippines,” he said. IDL
