The five presidential candidates will square off in the third and last government-sanctioned debate organized by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Sunday.

All five hopefuls for the coveted Malacañang seat—Vice President Jejomar Binay, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Senator Grace Poe, and former Interior Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II—will be present in the debate to be held at the Phinma-University of Pangasinan in Dagupan City three weeks shy of the May 9 polls.

According to hosts ABS-CBN and Manila Bulletin, the debate will feature a town hall format where pre-screened questions will be asked by sectoral representatives. It will be moderated by broadcasters Karen Davila and Tony Velasquez.
There will also be a segment where candidates may ask each other questions.
The topics that will be tackled in the three-hour debate include: Metro traffic and public transport, job security, health, foreign policy, basic public education, overseas Filipino workers’ concerns, peace situation in Mindanao.
The debate will allot 40 minutes to commercial advertisements.
INQUIRER.net, one of the organizers of the first presidential debate in Cagayan de Oro City, will cover the event and deliver it via livestream.
The debate is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., with a pre-debate show at 5 p.m. AJH/IDL
