Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. continued to extend his lead over his rivals as he remained the top pick for vice president, according to the results of the latest ABS-CBN poll which were released on Tuesday.
The April 5 to 10 poll, which was conducted by Pulse Asia with 4,000 registered voters as respondents, showed Marcos in first place with 27 percent.
Despite the attacks hurled against him by his rivals during the sole government-sanctioned vice presidential debate on April 10, Marcos only saw a one-percentage-point drop from his previous rating.

Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero and Camarines Sur Representative Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo were still statistically tied in second place, with 23 percent and 21 percent, respectively.

Escudero saw his rating recover by two percentage points, while Robredo suffered a one-percentage point dip from the previous poll.
Senator Alan Peter Cayetano remained in third place with 17 percent, followed by Senator Gringo Honasan with 4 percent and Senator Antonio Trillanes with 3 percent.
Marcos was the top pick of respondents from Metro Manila (40 percent) and the rest of Luzon (35 percent), Robredo led among the Visayan voters (35 percent), while Cayetano was the frontrunner in Mindanao with 32 percent.
Across socioeconomic classes, Marcos was the top pick of voters belonging to Class ABC (43 percent) and Class D (28 percent). In Class E, Escudero, Marcos, Robredo and Cayetano all posted essentially similar figures.
The survey had a plus-minus 1.5 percent error margin at 95 percent confidence in the national level. IDL
