Malacañang on Monday said President Benigno Aquino III’s net satisfaction rating of +27 based on the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey is still considered high.

This is despite his public satisfaction rating dropping 23 percentage points (from December last year) to +0 in Metro Manila for April 2016.

“Overall rating (+27) still high for a President who is completing the last semester of his term,” Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said in a text message.

In an SWS survey, conducted from March 30 to April 2, 2016, 57 percent of 1,500 respondents said they are satisfied with the performance of Aquino. Thirty percent said they are dissatisfied, while 14 percent were undecided, resulting in a net satisfaction rating of +27.

Among geographical areas, Aquino received a net satisfaction rating of +0 (from +23 in December) in Metro Manila, +23 (same in December) in the rest of Luzon, +50 (from +58) in Visayas and +30 (from +31) in Mindanao.

Coloma said the President “has always worked for the welfare and well being of our bosses — regardless of survey ratings.”

“He is grateful for the people’s unstinting trust in his leadership,” he added. “We believe in the fairness and vision of our people who will certainly opt for continuity of good governance and attainment of inclusive growth when they cast their votes next month.” JE
