Bataan town mayor’s aide killed; wife injured
LIMAY, Bataan—The coordinator of Limay town Mayor Ver Roque was shot dead on Sunday afternoon by motorcycle-riding gunmen in front of his house in Barangay (village) St. Francis II, police said.
Medio Bisana, 52, died from gunshot wounds in different parts of his body at the Limay Emergency Hospital.
Bisana’s 46-year-old wife Rowena was struck by stray bullets and was being treated at the same hospital.
A witness Adelaida Lintag informed the police that the couple were having a conversation in front of their house when they were attacked.
Police have not established if Bisana’s murder was election-related. Roque is running for re-election against Bataan board member Gerry Roxas. RAM
