Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas is disappointed at rival Sen. Grace Poe for making statements about the anticriminality efforts of the government without studying official data from the Philippine National Police.
Statement niya tungkol sa may pagkukulang daw ang PNP at ang DILG (Department of Interior and Local Government) sa ating anticriminality efforts,” Roxas said in an interview on Friday.
If Poe studied the statistics from the PNP, Roxas said she would find out that more than P7.5-billion worth of illegal drugs had been confiscated by the police during his term as DILG chief.

Roxas also cited the achievements of “Oplan Lambat-Sibat,” a statistics-based anticrime program of the PNP that Roxas initiated.
From 918 crime incidents in Metro Manila in a week, the PNP was able to reduce it to 261 incidents per week.
Lambat-Sibat also caught 716 out of 946 most wanted persons and 361 out of 693 criminal gangs and syndicates.
“Those were achieved through modern policing efforts.

RC
