CEBU continues to become a “model of modernization” in the Philippines, the country’s number two official said last night.
Vice President Jejomar Binay gave this description of Cebu in his speech in last night’s General Membership Meeting and Induction of Officers of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).

Binay, the chamber’s guest of honor, recognized Cebu as a leading business process and outsourcing (BPO) industry that is “miles ahead of its neighbors.”
He lauded Cebu’s business community for helping fuel the province’s growth.

Binay called on the companies to uphold its corporate social responsibility (CSR), saying this is a manifestation of the government’s thrust to promote public and private partnership.
