Honasan to bring courage, experience once elected as VP

United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) vice presidential candidate Senator Gringo Honasan on Sunday said that once elected as the vice president, he would bring courage and experience in the post.

In his opening statement, Honasan highlighted that being a soldier for 17 years, a rebel for seven years, and a senator for 18 years, what he did was only to work for the benefit of the Filipino people.

“I will bring to the vice presidency the courage of my convictions and the audacity to act and make things happen,” Honasan said.

“I will work and continue to work for unity, peace and prosperity and security,” he said.

Honasan, the candidate who has been constantly at the bottom of opinion surveys, said that he will extend support to anyone who will help build a future for their children.

“I will help anybody, anyone, who will build for the future of our most precious and God-given resources, our next generation of leaders–our children,” he said.

“I do this to look for harmonies in our families, cooperation in our communities, order in the state, inclusive progress for our nation and security in our shores,” the senator added.

Honasan delivered his opening statement in under one minute.
