Suspected drug pusher escapes authorities in Cebu

DANAO CITY, Cebu—An alleged drug pusher slipped from the hands of law enforcers during a buy-bust operation conducted in his residence in Sitio Canlingo in Barangay Maslog in this northern Cebu city on Tuesday.

Filemon Nuñez, 43, was handing a pack of “shabu” from an undercover policeman about 5:15 p.m. when he heard someone shouting outside the house, “dapa, dapa (drop down, drop down).”

Realizing it was a police sting, he immediately ran to the backdoor of his house and toward the coastline where he disappeared.

Policemen instead arrested three men who were seen outside the house of the suspect.

They were identified Jade Lubato, Janice Langgamon and Dennis Questa.

But Questa was later released after barangay officials vouched that he did not have any previous criminal records.

The police also recovered six small packs of shabu, cash and drug paraphernalia inside the house.
