CEBU CITY– At least three persons were wounded when a Cebu City-bound passenger bus lost its brakes while traveling along the national highway of Sitio Gaway-gaway, Barangay (village) Uling in Naga City around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday.
PO3 Benzon Aldemita, traffic investigator of the Naga police station, said the three victims were brought to South General Hospital in Naga but he had yet to determine their condition.
The bus loaded with undetermined number of passengers came from Toledo City, western Cebu.
Aldemita said the driver claimed that the bus lost its brakes while maneuvering a downhill slope.
The driver then rammed his bus into a tree on the road side to prevent the vehicle from falling off a cliff. CDG
