2 alleged bombers nabbed at Zamboanga port
ZAMBOANGA CITY—Two suspected bombers were arrested at the Sangil Port here on Sunday night.
Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, spokesperson of the Zamboanga City Police Office, said the suspects were caught with an improvised explosive device.
However, Galvez would not identify the suspects or how they were arrested.
Mayor Maria Isabelle Salazar said the suspects were carrying two kilos of ammonium nitrate.
“I commended the intelligence communities, the Task Force Zamboanga and the Zamboanga City Police, but I also want to look deeper into the identities and background of the suspects,” the mayor said.
