Almost there!

That was the reaction of an upbeat administration vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey which showed that she had the most improved rating among other contenders for the second highest post in the land.

“Malapit na! Masaya tayo ngayong abot-kamay na natin ang pinagsisikapan natin na unang puwesto sa survey,” Robredo said in a statement on Monday.

In the survey conducted last March 4 to 7, it showed Robredo closing in to Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, who maintained his lead at 28 percent, and Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. with 26 percent.

From last month’s 19 percent, Robredo garnered 24 percent of votes from 1,800 respondents.

The results, according to Robredo, gave her renewed inspiration and strength to continue presenting her plans for the people even in the far-flung parts of the country.

Next to Robredo at fourth place is Senator Alan Peter Cayetano with 11 percent, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV with 6 percent and Senator Gringo Honasan with 5 percent.

Meanwhile, her running mate Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas also gained four points with 22 percent but still trailing behind Senator Grace Poe and Vice President Jejomar Binay who got 27 percent and 24 percent, respectively.
