A 73-year-old former president of a homeowners’ association was shot dead inside a drugstore in Camarin, Caloocan City, Tuesday morning, the police said.
Supt. Reydante Ariza, chief of the North Extension office of the Caloocan police, said Alegria Singso-Majaducom was shot at close range around 8 a.m. by two men who pretended to be customers at the Bantay Bayan mini-drugstore on J.P. Rizal Street, Barangay 175.
Majaducom, who also resided in Camarin, was brought to Nodado General Hospital where she succumbed to four gunshot wounds two hours later.
Four .45-caliber bullet casings were recovered at the crime scene.
SPO2 Allan Budios, the case investigator, said the victim was a former president of the Pagasa Homeowners Association Inc.
While the motive for the killing remained under investigation, Budios said he had gathered from the victim’s family that she was involved in a land dispute.
