BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental — Supporters of Sen. Grace Poe were exuberant and thankful for the Supreme Court ruling that reversed the Commission on Elections’ decision to disqualify her from running for president in the May 9 elections.

“This will definitely make the campaign for her presidency a lot easier, as some people were waiting for the SC ruling,” said Modesto Sa-onoy, provincial coordinator of All 4 GP (Grace Poe).

The Poe for President Volunteers provincial headquarters recently opened at the Central Block Inn, at corner of San Juan and Burgos streets in Bacolod City.

Sa-onoy said Poe’s ratings would further shoot up with the Supreme Court ruling.

“We are happy with the results. The Supreme Court decided in favor of the Filipino people because over and above the Constitution is the sovereign will of the people,” he said.

As the decision of the high court said, let the people elect their president, he added.  SFM
