Senator Grace Poe thanked the Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday for voting in favor of truth, justice and protection for those who are in need.

“Ako po ay taus-pusong nagpapasalamat sa ating mga kababayan na hindi bumitiw at nawalan ng tiwala at higit sa lahat ay nagdasal at nanalangin hindi lang para sa akin kundi para sa hustisya,” Poe told reporters in an interview in Manila after the Supreme Court junked the disqualification cases against her.

(I thank all our fellow countrymen from the bottom of my heart for not giving up, losing trust and most especially for those who prayed not just for me but for justice as well.)

“Nais ko ring pasalamatan ang Korte Suprema na binigyan nila ng pagkilala ang katotohanan ang katarungan at higit sa lahat, proteksyon para sa mga naaapi.
(I would also like to thank the Supreme Court for voting in favor of truth, justice and protection for those who are in need.)
Voting 9-6, the SC ruled against the disqualification cases against Poe over her citizenship and residency issues.

After the SC decision allowing her to run in the upcoming elections in May, Poe said Filipinos will now have a chance to experience real change if she gets elected president.

“Sa ating mga kababayan, meron na pong puwang ngayon upang pagbigyan natin ang ating mga kababayan nating naghihirap at mga napakabayaan sa sistema,” she said.

(There is a chance now to help our poor countrymen and those who were left behind in the system.)

“Meron na po tayong pagkakataon ngayon ng tunay na pagbabago. Hindi ko po kakalimutan ang pinagdaanan na ito pero gagamitin ko ito para tayo magkaisa, magsama-sama para lahat ay bumuti ang buhay sa ating bansa at hindi ng iilan lamang,” Poe added.

(We now have the chance for a real change. I will never forget what I have been through but I will use these to unite us, so our all our lives will improve and not only for a few.) RAM
