Drug suspect killed in Bulacan

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S. SANTOS, Bulacan— A drug suspect in Bulacan was killed in a gun battle with Bulacan police on Monday evening during a buy-bust operation in San Miguel town.

Jake Pangyarihan, listed as the fourth drug priority target in San Miguel, was killed after trying to flee from a sting operation conducted in Barangay (village) San Juan, where the suspect lives, said Supt. Joel Estares, acting chief of San Miguel police.

Pangyarihan fired at the police, which prompted them to return fire and killing the suspect, Estares said.

The investigators recovered two sachets of suspected shabu, one loaded improvised pistol, and several drug paraphernalia.

The suspect’s body was brought Cathedral Funeral Homes in San Miguel for autopsy, while the recovered evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for custody and appropriate examination. CDG
