The operations of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 2 were limited to four stations on Tuesday morning (March 8, 2016) due to a power cable problem, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) announced.
In a series of tweets, LRTA spokesperson Hernando Cabrera said the operations in LRT-2 had been limited to stations from Santolan in Pasig City to Cubao in Quezon City due to problems in the catenary system detected between Gilmore and J. Ruiz stations.

“LRT2 on degraded operations frm Santolan to Cubao & back only beginning 10 AM, due to problems in the catenary system bet J.Ruiz & Gilmore,” Cabrera said.
As of the time of this writing, LRT-2 operations have not yet returned to normal.
Women can get free rides on the LRT-2 and MRT-3 train systems from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8 in celebration of the National Women’s Day. AJH
