Ahmed Cuizon appointed back to LTFRB Central Visayas
CEBU CITY—President Benigno Aquino III has appointed Ahmed Cuizon back to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in Central Visayas (LTFRB-7).
Cuizon is scheduled to take his oath of office as LTFRB-7 director at 4 p.m. on Thursday before Chair Winston Gines at the agency’s regional office in Cebu City.
He, however, would officially assume his post in mid-March since he had to clear all unfinished paperwork at the Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) where he was assistant general manager.
Reynaldo Elnar, outgoing LTFRB-7 director, said he would go back to his old post as the agency’s assistant regional director once Cuizon took over.
Cuizon was LTFRB-7 director until he asked for a transfer to MCIAA effective Oct. 28, 2014.
Elnar said Cuizon applied to return as LTFRB-7 director in March 2015. His transfer was approved by President Aquino after the election ban for transfer of government personnel took effect on Jan. 10.
