Aquino to visit Bohol to check on projects, campaign for LP

TALIBON, Bohol – President Benigno Aquino III is scheduled to visit Bohol province on Wednesday afternoon to inspect ongoing projects and campaign for administration candidates led by former Interior and Local Government Sec. Manuel “Mar” Roxas II.

Aquino is expected to arrive at 1 p.m. to lead the capsule-laying for the New Bohol International Airport project in Barangay (village) Tawala in Panglao town.

The P7.5-billion airport project will be completed in 2017.

Aquino will also lead the ceremonial switch-on of 2,651 LED lights in Barangay Lourdes in Panglao which is part of the Sitio Electrification Program of the National Electrification Administration before he joins the 3 p.m. Liberal Party campaign sortie at the Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City.

LP presidential candidate Roxas and vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo have been going around the province to campaign with members of their senatorial slate on Wednesday morning.

The group first visited Talibon town located 95 kilometers away from Tagbilaran City to meet with about 2, 000 attendees of the Bohol Multi-Sectoral Assembly at the Talibon Cultural Center.

They will later proceed to Tubigon town located about 48.5 kilometers away from Tagbilaran City to dialogue with members of the Tubigon Loomweavers Multi-Purpose Cooperative.

Cooperative members from Barangay Pinayagan are beneficiaries of the P1.26-million loomveaving facility established by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

LP candidates are also scheduled to visit the Alliance of Informal Settlers Organization urban poor housing site in Cortes town located 10 kilometers away from Tagbilaran City before they converge at the Bohol Cultural Center for the LP rally. CDG
